When I first came across Wild Woodland Toys and read the ‘about’ section on her website, I instantly felt connected to Amanda and her story.
Growing up, I also lived on a cropping farm with my family and a few hundred sheep. I could straight away imagine the joy that her young children must feel everyday. When I browsed through the range of toys on offer I was amazed and delighted.
After having her two children, Amanda embarked on a journey to discover and then source affordable wooden toys that would inspire a child’s imagination. Along the way she discovered so many other families on the same wavelength, and so over the last four years, Wild Woodland Toys was created.
Amanda’s vision for Wild Woodland Toys is to provide an alternative to the mass-produced plastic, battery operated, children’s toys found in the mainstream shopping centers. Toys that are easily broken and discarded into landfill.
Her mission is to inspire a child’s imagination through the use of beautiful, unique and quality wooden toys. Ones that don’t need batteries. Toys that educate and allow them to experiment, explore and learn new skills. Only then to be stored away and handed to the next generation. Amanda aims to provide a high quality range that’s affordable, sustainable and creates everlasting memories of imagination fuelled delight and happiness.
